Anime Saimoe Tournament 2011 – Round 3 – A2/B1

The first match of the third round has just finished and Biri Biri and Erica have won.

Match A1:

1. Misaka Mikoto (Index): 613 votes

2. Victorique de Blois (GOSICK): 516 votes

Match B2:

1. Erica Hartmann (Strike Witches): 498 votes

2. Amane Suzuha (STEINS;GATE): 496 votes

Victorique’s loliness was not enough to push her past Biri Biri. Mikoto-chan took the early lead and Victorique was relatively close to her, but she just didn’t have enough power to catch up. The other match was much, much closer. Suzuha had a small lead in the beginning, but Erica got past her several hours later. Suzuha got her votes at the last hour, where she almost caught up to Erica, but it just wasn’t enough, losing by just two votes. Predictions are now 2-0 (97-33) and picks are 2-0 (62-68).

Here is a look at today’s matches:

Match A2:

Makise Kurisu (STEINS;GATE): 2nd (F6), 45.2% (A8-1)

Astarotte Ygvar (Lotte no Omocha!): 1st (F9), 57.0% (A12-1)

Match B1:

Gertrud Barkhorn (Strike Witches): 6th (F3), 48.0% (B2-1)

Tachibana Kanade/Tenshi (Angel Beats!): 2nd (F7), 54.8% (B4-1)

Kurisu is the biggest hope for STEINS;GATE. She’s also their last hope, with Suzuha gone. Unfortunately for her, she is facing Lotte. I don’t see how Kurisu will be able to go up against Lotte, unless anti-Kugyuu votes decide to show up. In the Group B match, Kanade-chan is the last hope for the fading Angel Beats! girls. She will be facing Gertrud, which will make her day a little bit tough. But, I think that Kanade-chan will be able to win this. I’ll be rooting for Lotte and Kanade-chan.
