Anime Saimoe Tournament 2011 – Round 1 – H1/H5/H9

The final three matches of Group G has just finished and Haruka, Ayase, and Anko have won. Here are the results from those matches:

Match G4:

1. Morishima L. Haruka (Amagami SS): 267 votes

2. Yuuki Haruna (FORTUNE ARTERIAL): 153 votes

3. Kuze Kiriha (FORTUNE ARTERIAL): 55 votes

Match G8:

1. Aragaki Ayase (OreImo): 283 votes

2. Nazuna (Hidamari Sketch): 185 votes

3. Sakura Kiyomi (Ika Musume): 87 votes

Match G12:

1. Sakura Kyouko (Madoka): 338 votes

2. Tainaka Ritsu (K-On!!): 180 votes

3. Sorami Kanata (Sora no Oto): 82 votes

You would think that K-On!! would have had a chance this year, seeing how well they did last year. Unfortunately for the K-On!! girls, this is a year for for the new girls. Ritsu shows no signs of resistance as Kyouko easily beats her. Ayase and Haruka also beat their opponents with no problem at all. So, pretty much a pretty quiet day. That brings my predictions to 61-23 and my picks to 39-45.

Here are the first three matches of the final group:

Match H1:

Nakagawa Kanon (KamiNomi): 5th (Group F15)

Ookami Ryouko (Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi): 9th (Group F15)

Nyaruko (Haiyoru! Nyaruani: Remember My Love(craft-sensei)): 16th (Group F16), 9th (Group S4)

Match H5:

Marui Hitoha (Mitsudomoe): 8th (Group F12)

Sangou Shizuku (Kampfer): 16th (Group F8), 4th (Group S1)

Celty Sturluson (Durarara!): 26th (Group F15), 8th (Group S3)

Match H9:

Tokugawa Sen (Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls): 23rd (Group F13), 3rd (Group S3)

Yamanaka Sawako (K-On!!): 15th (Group F16), 15th (Group F4)

Miyako (Hidamari Sketch): 4th (Group F11)

KamiNomi idol Kanon might have a little bit of trouble against Taiga lookalike Ryouko, but Kanon should win this easily. The youngest of the Marui sisters should have no problem in her match, as Shizuku and Celty are not exactly powerful in this tournament. Same thing for Miyako. Sawa-chan-sensei’s probable loss is going to be the final nail in K-On!!’s coffin this year. I’ll be voting for Ryouko-chan, Hitoha, and Miyako.
