Anime Saimoe Tournament 2011 – Round 1 – G3/G7/G11

Another set of Group G matches have just ended and Index, Yui-nyan, and Tsumugi have won. Here are the results:

Match G2:

1. Index (To Aru Majutsu no Index): 278 votes

2. Tooyama Saku (Milky Holmes): 185 votes

3. Suehiro Anna (Hourou Musuko): 66 votes

Match G6:

1. Yui (Angel Beats!): 265 votes

2. Tsukiyomi Komoe (To Aru Majutsu no Index): 178 votes

3. Miho (A Channel): 73 votes

Match G10:

1. Toudou Tsumugi (Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi): 175 votes

2. Ranka Lee (Macross Frontier): 160 votes

3. Morita Mayu (Morita-san wa Mukuchi): 148 votes

Index had an easy time going up against Saki. She was just too strong for the G4 member. Yui-nyan showed us yet again that Angel Beats! still has some power left, easily beating the smoking loli sensei. Tsumugi also won, though her match was a little bit tighter, with Ranka and Mayu coming close near the end. That brings my predictions and picks to 55-23 and 37-41.

Here are the Group G matches going on today:

Match G3:

Nakamura Yuri (Angel Beats!): 12th (Group F5)

Kousaka Kirino (OreImo): 1st (Group F6)

Tsurugi Minko (Hanasaku Iroha): 3rd (Group F7)

Match G7:

Sakurai Rihoko (Amagami SS): 8th (Group F8)

Marui Futaba (Mitsudomoe): 16th (Group F10), 14th (Group S1)

Naganohara Mio (Nichijou): 10th (Group F5)

Match G11:

Leonmitchelli Galette des Rois (DOG DAYS): 19th (Group F6), 2nd (Group S5)

Charlotte E. Yeagar (Strike Witches): 7th (Group F7)

Yoshinoya (Hidamari Sketch): 12th (Group F8)

Another SSS girl is up today. However, the leader probably does not have a chance against the otaku model and tournament favorite, Kiririn. Minchi might give Kiririn some problems, but I still expect Kiririn to win. In the next match, we have Rihoko going up against the fujoshi, Mio. Mio might give Rihoko a challenge, but Amagami > Nichijou, so I expect Rihoko to win this. In the other match, we have Charlotte going up against Yoshinoya-sensei. I think that Strike Witches will continue to show it’s strength today, with Charlotte winning against Yoshinoya-sensei today. I’ll be voting for Kiririn, the oppai lover (Futaba), and the princess of Galette (Leo).
