Anime Saimoe Tournament 2011 – Round 1 – F4/F8/F12

Another set of Group F matches have just finished and Mami, Nano, and Shirayuki have won. Here are the results:

Match F3:

1. Tomoe Mami (Madoka): 447 votes

2. Nagatsuki Sanae (Ika Musume): 209 votes

3. Kannagi Noel (Sora no Oto): 64 votes

Match F7:

1. Shinonome Nano (Nichijou): 343 votes

2. Konori Mii (To Aru Kagaku no Railgun): 232 votes

3. Elizabeth Warren (Softenni): 80 votes

Match F11:

1. Hotogi Shirayuki (Hidan no Aria): 332 votes

2. Oshimizu Nako (Hanasaku Iroha): 258 votes

3. Subaru (Houkago no Pleiades): 89 votes

The anti-Madoka force were not seen again, as Mami easily defeated Ika-chan lover Sanae-chan. Nano’s match against Mii was closer, but Nano never lost the lead. Shirayuki-chan also easily defeated Nakochi, showing that Hanasaku Iroha is not as powerful as once thought. Maybe their grandma victory might have taken a toll on them. Something to note is that Sanae-chan and Nakochi had a sudden surge of votes more than halfway through the match, but unfortunately for them, those were fake votes. My predictions are now 48-21 and my picks are 34-35.

Here are a look at the final matches in Group F:

Match F4:

Hiro (Hidamari Sketch): 10th (Group F1)

Busujima Saeko (HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD): 15th (Group F6), 12th (Group S4)

Momo Velia Deviluke (To Love-Ru): 16th (Group F13), 4th (Group S4)

Match F8:

Nori (Hidamari Sketch): 8th (Group F7)

Shichijou Aria (Seitokai Yakuindomo): 10th (Group F2)

Avril Bradley (GOSICK): 8th (Group F11)

Match F12:

Yuzuhara Konomi (ToHeart2): 25th (Group F7), 13th (Group S3)

Hiiragi Noa (MM!): 20th (Group F1), 6th (Group S4)

Cecilia Alcott (Infinite Stratos): 2nd (Group F13)

The first match should be a close one between Hiro and Momo, but I think Hiro should be able to win that match. Nori will also have a close match against Avril, but with Hiro’s help, she should be able to win. As for Cecilia, she shouldn’t have any problem at all winning her match. I’ll be voting for Momo, Nori, and Konomi-chan.
