Anime Saimoe Tournament 2011 – Round 1 – E2/E6/E10

The first three matches of Group E have just ended and Uiharu, Charlotte, and Yukikaze have won. Here are the results from those three matches:

Match E1:

1. Uiharu Kazari (To Aru…): 381 votes

2. Sakura Akari (Jewelpet Tinkle): 379 votes

3. Mercelida Ygvar (Lotte no Omocha!): 54 votes

Match E5:

1. Charlotte Dunois (Infinite Stratos): 404 votes

2. Touwa Erio (Denpa Onna): 373 votes

3. Touwa Meme (Denpa Onna): 40 votes

Match E9:

1. Yukikaze Panettone (DOG DAYS): 300 votes

2. Kondou Mayuka (Onii-chan no Koto Zenzen Suki Janain dakara ne!): 297 votes

3. Msyu (C): 114 votes

In match E1, Akari took the slight lead in the beginning. Then, Uiharu took the lead away and had a generous lead for most of the match. Then at the end, Akari had a sudden jump in votes, almost passing Uiharu, but she fell short by just two votes. If this match lasted a little longer, she could have defeated Uiharu. In the Charlotte/Touwas match, Charlotte had a generous lead in the beginning and keep that lead for most of the match. Erio made a move at the end, but it was not enough. Split voting might have been a factor in this match, but it was more that Charlotte was just more powerful than Erio. Match E5 was another very close match. Yukikaze and Mayuka were basically tied in the beginning. After that, Mayuka took a very small lead during the middle part of the match. Then, Yukikaze caught up near the end to tie Mayuka and somewhere during that time period, Yukikaze managed to get past Mayuka and win with a three vote margin. An interesting three matches indeed. My predictions are now 36-15 and picks are 25-26.

Now on to the next three matches:

Match E2:

Mizushiro Kanon (Jewelpet Sunshine): 8th (Group F9)

Saten Ruiko (To Aru Kagaku no Railgun): 3rd (Group F6)

Konjiki no Yami (To Love-Ru): 3rd (Group F2)

Match E6:

Minette (Shukufuku no Campanella): 14th (Group F4), 6th (Group S1)

Mitsuki Sohara (Sora no Otoshimono): 10th (Group F10)

Nino (Arakawa Under the Bridge): 23rd (Group F5), 14th (Group S1)

Match E10:

Saori Bajeena/Makishima Saori (OreImo): 8th (Group F3)

Hasegawa Hirano (Milky Holmes): 9th (Group F11)

Keikain Yura (Nurarihyon no Mago): 24th (Group F12), 12th (Group S1)

Yami-chan is in her fourth and maybe final tournament. At least she isn’t placed with Mikan, like last year. But she will face to face last year’s dark horse, Saten Ruiko. Ruiko-chan might not be as powerful as last year, but I think she’ll be powerful enough to advance to the next round. In the next match, I think that Sohara should win this, but Minette could give her some problems. In the other match, we have Saori Bajeena going up against Hirano. Hirano might be from Milky Holmes, but she isn’t a Milky Holmes girl, so I don’t think she can defeat Saori. I’ll be voting for Ruiko-chan, Minette-chan, and Hirano.
