Anime Saimoe Tournament 2011 – Round 1 – D1/D5/D9

The third set of matches in Group C have just finished and Laura-chan, Sanya, and Koumoto Madoka have won. Here are the results from those three matches.

Match C4:

1. Laura Bodewig (Infinite Stratos): 201 votes

2. Miyamae Kanako (Maria Holic): 93 votes

3. Kuronuma Sawako (Kimi ni Todoke): 82 votes

Match C8:

1. Sanya V. Litvyak (Strike Witches): 203 votes

2. Francesca Lucchini (Strike Witches): 109 votes

3. Usami Mimi (Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi): 68 votes

Match C12:

1. Koumoto Madoka (Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi): 162 votes

2. Seraphim/Sera (KoreZon): 128 votes

3. Rebecca Anderson/Becky (DOG DAYS): 70 votes

Laura had no problems winning her match, more than doubling Kanako’s votes. Unfortunately for Francesca, she had to be in the same match with Sanya, which means she had a very low chance of winning. Sanya wins that match easily. KoreZon’s disappointing run continues, as Sera loses to Madoka…from Hoshizora. Well, at least Sera and the others have next year to look forward to. That brings my predictions to 22-11 and my picks to 16-17.

The final set of matches will have to wait until the next rest day, so here are the first three matches in Group D:

Match D1:

Yuzurizaki Nero (Milky Holmes): 7th (Group F13)

Watanabe Kanako (Star Driver): 20th (Group F5), 5th (Group S1)

Shokatsuryou Koumei (Koihime Musou): 13th (Group F15), 5th (Group S2)

Match D5:

Chiba Saori (Hourou Musuko): 14th (Group F7), 4th (Group S6)

Tougi Shiro (FORTUNE ARTERIAL): 8th (Group F15)

Sakai Hina (Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi): 28th (Group F7), 3rd (Group S3)

Match D9:

Fake Ika Musume/Tokita Ayumi (Ika Musume): 15th (Group F4), 13th (Group S1)

Last Order (To Aru Majutsu no Index): 3rd (Group F4)

Sakurai Izumi (Nichijou): 3rd (Group F14)

Food loving Nero-chan and shy Shiro-chan shouldn’t have any problems in their matches. This will be a different story for Last Order-chan. Sakurai-sensei is going to give her a lot of problems, seeing how other Nichijou girls have been doing already. I’m still predicting Last Order-chan’s win, but Sakurai-sensei could easily change that. I’ll be voting for Nero-chan, Shiro-chan, and Last Order-chan.
