Anime Saimoe Tournament 2011 – First Prelims 6 of 16

The fifth match has just ended and Anko-chan stands in top of the rest of the group five girls. Here are the 12 advancers:

1. Sakura Kyouko (Madoka) – 372 votes

2. Kanzaki H. Aria (Hidan no Aria) – 363 votes

3. Sherlock Shellingford (Milky Holmes) – 337 votes

4. Kasugano Sora (Yosuga no Sora) – 302 votes

5. Mifune Ryuuko (Denpa Onna) – 276 votes

6. Tainaka Ritsu (K-On!!) – 260 votes

7. Kotegawa Yui (To Love-Ru) – 258 votes

8. Yuuno Arashiko (MM!) – 250 votes

9. Himeji Mizuki (BakaTest) – 247 votes

10. Naganohara Mio (Nichijou) – 214 votes

11. Kagura (Gintama) – 206 votes

12. Yurippe (Angel Beats!) – 203 votes

If you thought Kyouko-chan would lose this match, you obviously have not heard of Madoka. Not as big of a win as Homura-chan, but a win nonetheless. Being a Kugyuu tsundere, Aria-chan did come close, but she could not surpass Kyouko-chan. We saw it yesterday, but we’re seeing that K-On!! is not as strong as once thought. We still have to see the matches of the stronger three HTT members to see if that is certainly true.

Well, a rest day for the Madoka girls. Azu-nyan is thinking right now, “Thank god I don’t have to face them right now!” Who she’ll have to face today that could give her a challenge is Kiririn and maybe Ruiko-chan. Other possible advancers tomorrow are Kanzaki Kaori, ero-minded Amakusa Shino, and Ika-lover Sanae-chan. Tomorrow might also be Negima’s lucky day since Yue does have a chance of advancing. I’m voting for Ruiko-chan, spinning maid Maika-chan, Tsuruko, BakaTest’s Aiko-chan, Yumekui Merry’s Saki, Azu-nyan, Yue, Kiririn, and Sanae-chan.
