We waited three months for this battle and this battle was an absolutely great battle. And who was the winner of Saimoe 2010? The winner is no other than…AZU-NYAN!!!:
1. Nakano Azusa (K-On!!): 1516 votes
2. Sanzen’in Nagi (Hayate): 1339 votes
So, this final match did not disappoint at all (probably because of the fake votes). It appeared that no girl had the clear advantage. We had the experienced Nagi facing the moe-filled Azu-nyan. Throughout the match (including fake votes), Nagi and Azu-nyan were pretty much dead even. However, when 23:05 came around, it became apparent that Nagi was the one that had the most fake votes. Azu-nyan’s small 10 vote lead was actually a generous 185 vote lead. Nagi only had the lead in the very first part of the match. After that, Azu-nyan took the lead and never lost it. Her lead was pretty much the same the whole round. Being from a series that hasn’t been shown in many months didn’t help Nagi’s cause. That brings my final predictions and picks record to 81-30 and 56-55. I wasn’t that great in predictions…but at least I finished above 50% in picks!
So this is how Saimoe 2010 ends. This was a good tournament, though I wished that Chrome-nyan at least made it to the main tournament and that Yui-nyan and Kanade-chan made it to the final eight…maybe next year. In the next day or two, I’ll have a summary of this tournament and a look into what should already be an interesting Saimoe 2011.
