Anime Saimoe Tournament – Round 3 Group B finals

The first group final has just ended and Nagi has won. Here is a summary of the group A final:

Group A Match:

1. Sanzen’in Nagi (Hayate): 960 votes

2. Sengoku Nadeko (Bakemonogatari): 799 votes

3. Yuno (Hidamari Sketch): 157 votes

At first, it looked like this match was a very close match between Nagi and Nadeko. Yuno’s only job here was to take away votes from the two. However, it looks like now that Nadeko had a ton of fake votes compared to Nagi, making this match look very close.  What actually happened is that Nagi had a decent lead at the beginning and she let that lead grow throughout the day. Nadeko could not catch up with Nagi. That brings my predictions to 75-22 (1-0) and picks to 51-46 (1-0).

Here is a look into today’s group final:

Group B Match:

Shana (Shana): 1st (Group F15), 45.6% (B3-1), 55.8% (B1-2)

Takamachi Nanoha (Nanoha): 1st (Group F6), 53.4% (B5-1), 43.2% (B2-2)

Saginomiya Isumi (Hayate): 2nd (Group F9), 42.5% (B7-1), 42.1% (B3-1)

Prediction:

So, this is going to be an interesting match of past powers. These three girls have made it to at least the final eight, with Nanoha winning it all in 2005. All did well in the preliminaries; however, with the exception of Shana, they had some trouble in the second round. Of the three, I think that Isumi has the lowest chance of winning here, so this match is going to be between Shana-chan and Nanoha, with Isumi taking away votes from those two. This is going to be a very close match, but I think that Shana-chan has a slight advantage, since she is one of the tsundere queen’s famous roles. I’ll also be voting for Shana-chan.
