Anime Saimoe Tournament – Round 2 – E2/F3

With the interesting matches of yesterday over, Kanade-chan and Mafuyu-chan have won. Here is a summary of those matches:

Match E1:

1. Tachibana Kanade (Angel Beats!): 652 votes

2. Nagato Yuki (Haruhi): 631 votes

3. Lisa (The Sacred Blacksmith): 79 votes

Match F2:

1. Shiina Mafuyu (Seitokai no Ichizon): 636 votes

2. Miyanaga Saki (Saki): 458 votes

3. Mashiro Rima (Shugo Chara): 126 votes

The Kanade-chan/Yuki-chan match was a really close match. Yuki-chan had a small lead in the beginning half of the match, but it was no more than 20 votes. Then a little after halfway through the match, Kanade-chan took the lead, taking a 45 vote lead at one time. Near the end of the match, Yuki-chan tried to catch up, but it was not enough. The group F match was not as close. Mafuyu-chan had the lead in the beginning and that lead grew throughout the match. Saki had no chance to catch up with her. This is going to make for a really tough match for Yui-nyan in the group finals. That brings my predictions up to 64-22 (11-3) and my picks to 44-42 (6-8).

Now, here is a look into the next matches in these two groups:

Match E2:

Iwasawa (Angel Beats!): 8th (F1), 38.8% (E4-1)

Yamada Aoi (WORKING!!): 2nd (F14), 52.4% (E5-1)

Kurumi Erika/Cure Marine (Pretty Cure!): 13th (F6), 2nd (S3), 36.2% (E6-1)

Match F3:

Senjougahara Hitagi (Bakemonogatari): 2nd (F8), 49.6% (F7-1)

Tainaka Ritsu (K-On!!): 4th (F4), 49.5% (F8-1)

Akeno Mihoshi (Sora no Manimani): 14th (F4), 2nd (S4), 39.7% (F9-1)

Predictions:

This is the second day of matches for Angel Beats!, but Iwasawa is not as powerful as Kanade-chan or Yui-nyan. And she’s going to have to face Aoi. Seeing how well Aoi did in the preliminary and in her first round match, I don’t see Iwasawa winning this. I will be, however, voting for her. In the group F match, we have another Bakemonogatari/K-On!! round two battle. In the last battle, Yui lost to Nadeko. In this match, we have a stronger Hitagi and a weaker Ricchan. Seeing that Yui lost her match, I don’t see how Ricchan can beat Hitagi, but I will be voting for her.
