I came back from watching the US Open and what did I see? I saw that  Hina-chan lost, which made me sad. This was her worst lost in her four years in Saimoe. However, in my opinion, this loss was not as bad as her loss to Edomae Luna. When she lost to Luna that year, I got mad at Luna for beating her and I was hoping for her quick loss. It’s so much different this year. How could I get mad this shy, passive girl? I think she’s cute and I like her personality. I can’t really get mad at her. In fact, I’m probably going to vote for her next round (but probably not the round after that because Yui-nyan might be in that round). Now back to Hina-chan. Hina-chan is a powerful girl, but the fact that  Hayate no Gotoku hasn’t been on for some time doesn’t help. Hopefully, there will be another Hayate season, which could change that, but as of now, this is unfortunately her last Saimoe tournament (unless I’m missing something and unless she decides to make a brief appearance in some anime, like Taiga-chan and others did several weeks ago in Ookami-san). Even though it’s sad seeing Hina-chan go, I guess that makes it easier for Yui-nyan to advance further.

In the other match two days ago, Aoi advanced. There was no one that gave her any resistance and that was expected to happened.

Match E6 was a close match between Ranka and Erika. Ranka had a very slight lead for most of the match. Erika took the lead for a bit, but Ranka ended up winning by a small margin. F6 was not as close. Saki had a lead from the beginning and as expected, no one could catch up to her. My predictions are now 35-13 and my picks are now 25-23.

It’s time to move on to the seventh day of the E and F group matches:

Match E7:

Mikogami Nagisa (Anyamal Tantei Kiruminzoo): 13th (Group F14), 9th (Group S1)

Andou Mahoro (Mahoromatic): 22nd (Group F11), 20th (Group S3)

Hanazono Sakura (Kaichou wa Maid-sama!): 15th (Group F3), 14th (Group S1)

Cecily Campbell (The Sacred Blacksmith): 8th (Group F15)

Match F7:

Furude Rika (Higurashi): 6th (Group F12)

Mina Tepes (Dance in the Vampire Bund): 20th (Group F7), 16th (Group S4)

Kurumizawa Ume (Kimi ni Todoke): 20th (Group F1), 21st (Group S1)

Senjougahara Hitagi (Bakemonogatari): 2nd (Group F8)

Predictions:

The only E7 girl that did well in their preliminaries was Cecily. She only got 8th, but she was also part of the Shana/YuiMugi/Yurippe/Haruhi group. Lisa managed to win her match several days ago, so I don’t see why Cecily wouldn’t advance easily to the next round, especially since Cecily beat Lisa in the preliminary round. I will be voting for her.

In this other match, we have the Rika-chan, the winner of the Anime Saimoe Tournament three years ago. Unfortunately, she is way past her prime and also, she is going to have to face Hitagi. That is going to be a real tough job for her. I will be supporting Rika-chan, but I think that Hitagi will have an easy time beating Rika-chan.
