Anime Saimoe Tournament – Round 1 – E4/F4

The third match of the E and F groups have just ended and Lisa and Eva have won. Here is a summary of those matches:

Match E3:

1. Lisa (The Sacred Blacksmith): 202 votes

2. Ayase Yue (Negima!): 166 votes

3. Suzuki Jun (K-On!): 100 votes

4. Takatsuki Kanade (Asura Cryin’): 85 votes

Match F3:

1. Evangeline A. K. McDowell (Negima!): 225 votes

2. Chouhi (Koihime Musou): 141 votes

3. Ania Fortuna (Asura Cryin’): 97 votes

4. Sakura Kaede (Kampfer): 58 votes

Compared to the matches of the day before, these matches were a lot quieter. Our loli vampire had no trouble advancing to the next round. Everyone else was just too weak…and it’s Eva! Yue wasn’t as lucky. She was about even with Lisa for the majority of the match. Then at the end, Lisa gained a lot more votes than Yue, giving her the win. At least someone from Negima won, even if Eva doesn’t have a chance next round. Maybe they’ll do better next year. So, with those matches, my predictions go to 31-11 and my picks go to 23-19.

Here is a look into today’s matches:

Match E4:

Iwasawa (Angel Beats!): 8th (Group F1)

Oribe Mafuyu (Seikon no Qwaser): 21st (Group F16), 18th (Group S3)

Bachou (Koihime Musou): 15th (Group F12), 9th (Group S3)

Nino (Arakawa Under The Bridge): 12th (Group F15)

Match F4:

Kanbara Satomi (Saki): 18th (Group F4), 3rd (Group S4)

Mashiro Rima (Shugo Chara!): 15th (Group F1), 4th (Group S1)

Satsukitane Mikako (Sora no Otoshimono): 20th (Group F11), 16th (Group S4)

Yumeno Maho (Saki): 21st (Group F8), 20th (Group S4)

Predictions:

The only girl in match E4 that did well was Iwasawa, though Nino and Bachou did okay considering the groups they were in. However, Iwasawa also had some notable names in her group. Also, Angel Beats! has been doing well lately with Yui-nyan and Kanade-chan advancing, so I believe that Iwasawa will be able to advance. She will also be getting my vote.

This other match is particularly weak, seeing that no one got higher than 15th in their first preliminary matches. Mikako is not strong enough and Maho-chan has to deal with Satomi, aka Wahaha, being in the same match, so this match is going to be between Rima and Wahaha. They are pretty even, but Wahaha has to deal with Uiharu’s revenge. Not only that, she has the problem with split voting, though it wouldn’t be strong. This is a Saki vs. anti-Saki match and it looks like that the anti-Saki faction will win by getting Rima to advance. Of course, I won’t be voting for those two, but for Maho-chan, aka Mahocchi, because she’s a very cute kouhai who admires her ridiculously-huge-breasted senpai.
